Mike Boone is more than your run-of-the-mill sales guy – he’s been on board at Eco Chemical™ since 2011 as National Sales Manager for the Wood Stains and Coatings Division. Mike’s 35+ years of experience has given him exceptional product expertise and strong relationships with scores of people in the wood products industry, along with a solid reputation for delivering the best customer experience possible.
We recently caught up with Mike to find out more about him and his role in Eco Chemical’s story:
What do you love most about your job?
I get to interact directly with our customers to ensure that we’re providing them with the best possible products and services. I also network within the industry, making new relationships and finding new, exciting opportunities for Eco.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I like to go fishing, play golf, and spend time with my grandchildren.
What is your best piece of advice for Eco Chemical customers?
We encourage our customers to give us input regarding all aspects of their business so we can best serve them. My advice would be to keep it up – customers push Eco Chemical toward bigger and better things all the time so we can in-turn help customers succeed.
What do you see for the future of the exterior wood stains and coatings industry for the next few years?
The trend toward staining wood in treating plants is moving east, providing new opportunities and challenges for Eco Chemical as well as treating plants in the eastern markets. The trend is especially evident in the fencing segment. We’re always looking for new ways to participate in this evolving market.
What can we look forward to from Eco Chemical in 2016?
First and foremost you’ll see continued support for our current customer base. We also make a habit of keeping pace with emerging industry demands and developing new and improved products such as high-end deck stains, fence board stains, and other wood coatings for current and future customers.
