Color Putty Company, Inc. was founded in June of 1963 by Paul R. Kubly, who was a professional painter for over 20 years before moving to a career in paint sundry sales. Paul identified a need for a colored putty product for patching imperfections in woodwork and paneling and grew the business by selling putty from the trunk of his car. Due to its popularity and consistent performance, the Color Putty brand has grown consistently and is now distributed nationally in both oil-based and waterborne formulations. Today Color Putty provides the highest quality putty to both the professional sector and do-it-yourself customers with the same values and high quality standards as it did in 1963.
