U-C Coatings, LLC, a leading manufacturer of wood protection products, announces the retirement of Peter Duerden, its Northeast Territory Sales Representative, after 25 years of service.
Peter’s territory included New York, New England and Eastern Canada. His expertise in protective coatings assisted customers in producing high quality lumber and secondary wood products, such as furniture, architectural molding, windows and doors. Peter was often relied upon for his technical knowledge on U-C Coatings’ products to ensure customers achieved maximum results.
“Peter has been an integral and beloved member of our company,” said Tom Johel, CEO of U-C Coatings. “He has cultivated strong relationships with our customers that span decades. We will all miss Peter and wish him well in retirement.”
Peter has been an active member of numerous industry organizations including the New England Lumbermen’s Association, New England Kiln Drying Association, Penn York Lumbermen’s Club, Canadian Hardwood Bureau and the Canadian Lumbermen’s Association. He is also a past president of the New England Kiln Drying Association.
Peter will remain with the company through the beginning of the year as a consultant, assisting in onboarding his replacement and attending various industry meetings.
